Mayor Brown urges Congress to preserve community development block grant program

SPOKANE, Wash. — Mayor Lisa Brown is joining mayors nationwide in urging federal lawmakers to preserve a grant program that provides millions annually for affordable housing and social services in Spokane.

Brown joined the U.S. Conference of Mayors in calling on House members to protect the Community Development Block Grant program.
