Reward offered as CMPD looks for tips in Uptown shooting that killed two, hurt one

CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — Charlotte Mecklenburg Police need your help to ‘Find a Fugitive,’ a shooting suspect responsible for killing two people in Uptown.

The shooting happened early on July 5, around 1:30 am, on North Caldwell Street at a parking lot next to the Spectrum Center.

27-year-old Gabriel Lee was shot and killed in the crossfire as he was trying to go home after being at a nearby club. 18-year-old Colby Cash Smith was also shot and taken to a hospital, where he later died. A third victim drove himself to the hospital with a gunshot wound.
