CHATTANOOGA, Tenn — A tree fell on a powerline near the Incline Railway tracks on Lookout Mountain, causing nearby woods to catch fire Friday morning, but fire officials tell us the Incline Railway tracks weren’t damaged.
Crews were called to the scene a little after 10:30 a.m., according to the Chatanooga Fire Department (CFD).

CFD says EPB crews are on the scene and have de-energized the power line.
As of noon, CFD said the fire was 100 percent contained. No one was hurt.
Next week, the Incline Railway plans to open back up for tourists, after a massive woods fire back in December damaged hundreds of feet of track. Read more about that here…
