Another Erie Co. mosquito tests positive for West Nile Virus

(WJET/WFXP) – Another mosquito has tested positive for West Nile virus in Erie County.

On Friday, July 11, the Erie County Department of Health released a statement saying that a mosquito sample taken from the City of Erie on July 2 had tested positive for West Nile virus.

NECMA takes ownership of North East Marina

This is the second mosquito to test positive for the virus in 2025, with the first being found in a sample collected on May 28 in Harborcreek Township.
