Woman accused of attempting to sell rental vehicle to salvage yard

Aberdeen Police say a 25-year-old woman from High Point is facing charges after being arrested for attempting to sell a rental vehicle to a salvage yard.

The case began on June 20 when Rent-a-Wreck, on N. Sandhills Blvd., told Aberdeen officers one of their rental vehicles was stolen.

In a media release issued on July 10, the Aberdeen Police Department said the vehicle was rented to “Mr. Marshall” on May 22, and he was paying for an extension on the rental but stopped payments on June 15, resulting in the return date of June 17.
