Dollar Tree theft in Auburn leads to drug bust

A routine larceny complaint at a Dollar Tree in Auburn led to the arrest of three individuals on a range of charges, including parole violations and felony drug possession.

On July 9, around 7:30 p.m., Cayuga County 911 received a report of a theft at the Dollar Tree on Genesee Street. Auburn Police quickly identified a suspect and vehicle, and issued a BOLO to local law enforcement. Officers later located the vehicle at Genesee and South Streets, and after stopping it, determined the theft suspect was 50-year-old Ronald A. Agee Jr. of Syracuse.

According to the Auburn Police Department, Agee had recently been dropped off by others in the vehicle after the larceny occurred. He also had an active parole absconder warrant. Agee was arrested for petit larceny, and New York State Parole Officers took custody of him. He was transported to the Onondaga County Justice Center…
