BAKER, La. (WAFB) – East Baton Rouge Animal Control and Rescue Director Daniel Piakiewicz says even after two decades working in animal rescue work, he hasn’t seen a dog fighting ring as big as the one busted up in the small town of Baker.
Two dogs are currently being evaluated by his office to determine if they can be placed with new families. Meanwhile, 28 other dogs had to be put down after being rescued.
Piakiewicz says the dogs may have been tortured and forced to live in the sun on short chains…
