CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas — A major milestone was reached today in the effort to bring a desalination plant to Harbor Island, as the Oasis River Authority hosted an “Industry Day” to unveil plans for its new “Water for Texas” project.
The proposal includes a large-scale desalination facility aimed at addressing water shortages in South Texas. According to Executive Director John Byrum, the event was intended to generate interest and gather feedback that will help strengthen the project as it moves forward.
