WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) – The City of Wichita will have its community building event, ‘Neighborhood Night Out,’ on August 12.
The city-wide event takes place from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and is targeted at all neighborhoods. Whether it’s a BBQ, block party, or in the park, Mayor Lily Wu said the event promotes crime reduction at Thursday’s weekly media briefing.
“This is an annual event that promotes neighborhood safety and combats crime by encouraging residents to get to know one another through neighborhood parties, picnics, cookouts, and other social gatherings over one designated evening,” Wu said…
