Man convicted of 2016 stabbing in Adams County Family Dollar store

DENVER (KDVR) — Following a four-day trial, a jury on Thursday convicted a man of first-degree murder in a 2016 stabbing case inside a Colorado Family Dollar store, which left one person dead.

Anthony Dennis Grayson, 51, was convicted in Adams County District Court of fatally stabbing Alejandro Alvear, a manager at the Family Dollar store located on Pecos Street.

“This was a senseless act of violence in a public setting that cost a man his life,” said District Attorney Brian Mason in a press release. “Thanks to the excellent work of law enforcement, eyewitnesses, and our prosecution team, we were able to secure justice for Mr. Alvear and his family.”…
