A 36-year-old man was arrested July 8 on multiple charges, including aggravated assault on law enforcement, after trying to pull out a stolen handgun while resisting arrest, Sioux Falls Police spokesperson Aaron Benson said.
The Sioux Falls man was first reported as merely confronting construction workers at about 1:50 p.m. July 8 near Sherman Park. A handgun was noticed in his possession, but he did not threaten to use it, Benson said.
After a description of the man and his vehicle were given to police officers, his vehicle was found 10 minutes later on the 100th block of North Trapp Avenue, and he was standing nearby…
