Multiple injured after 3-vehicle crash shuts down lanes on I-495 in Montgomery County

SILVER SPRING, Md. (7News) — A crash involving three vehicles shut down Interstate 495 lanes early Friday morning near Georgia Avenue in Montgomery County, according to officials.

The collision happened along Georgia Avenue and Locust Grove Road in Silver Spring, Montgomery County Fire and Rescue spokesperson Pete Piringer said, around 5 a.m.

Piringer added that one person was pinned inside a vehicle and had to be extricated by crews.
