Flash flood in New Mexico claims lives of 2 children with ties to Lehigh Valley

A flash flood that swept through a village in New Mexico Tuesday claimed the lives of two children with ties to the Lehigh Valley.

Sebastian Trotter, 7, and his sister, Charlotte Trotter, 4, died when flood waters suddenly rushed through the camper where they were vacationing with their parents in Ruidoso, New Mexico.

The children’s mother, Stephanie Trotter, is originally from Whitehall Township. Her family, who still resides in the Lehigh Valley, is now asking for support as they grapple with planning funerals for their young loved ones and the children’s parents face serious injuries from the harrowing ordeal…
