ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10)– Northern Rivers Family of Services has opened a new family resource center in Albany. The center officially opened Wednesday after a ribbon cutting ceremony.

According to organizers, the center will work with local organizations to provide youth and their families a variety of services. The services will address youth development, food and housing insecurity, employment and family support.
“We are thrilled to continue to expand our local impact and work alongside some incredible organizations to meet the needs of our families and give them tools to grow and thrive. This will provide necessary support for the population we serve,” said William T. Gettman, Jr., CEO of Northern Rivers.
The center is set to help nearly 100 families who are in the Northern Rivers Albany Prevention program but hopes to expand access. The grand opening was attended by center organizations including Mission Accomplished Transition Services, Jae BPM Lessons, Healing Thru Hip Hop, Healthy Alliance, The RED Bookshelf, Young Futures, The Regional Food Bank of Northeastern New York, and the Police Athletic League…
