Surprise Home Delivery for Ohio Couple!

Cleveland, OH – A local couple received the surprise of a lifetime when their baby girl decided to make an early appearance, arriving before they could even make it to the hospital. Iyanna Brown, 27, and her fiancé, Enoch Mitchell, 47, welcomed their daughter, Maya, into the world on June 26, several weeks ahead of her July 7 due date.

What started as mild cramping quickly escalated into a dramatic home birth as Brown’s water broke while she was preparing dinner. As the couple scrambled to leave for the hospital, their daughter’s arrival became imminent. With remarkable composure, Mitchell sprang into action, delivering Maya himself right there in their home.

The situation became even more intense when the couple discovered the umbilical cord was wrapped twice around their newborn’s neck. Mitchell and Brown worked together to quickly untangle the cord, and moments later, Maya let out her first cry. Paramedics arrived shortly after Mitchell called 911, confirming that both mother and baby were healthy.

Despite the unexpected and dramatic circumstances, Maya weighed in at a healthy 6lb 12oz. Brown, a seasoned mother, expressed amazement at the experience, having previously had hospital births with medication. She and Mitchell are now settling in at home with their newest addition, surely with a story to tell for years to come.
