COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — Officials with Columbus Fire and EMS announced on Thursday the death of a beloved firefighter.
The department is mourning the loss of Firemedic Brittany Zerwick. It is currently unknown on the cause of death. She passed away unexpectedly at her home on Thursday.
Columbus Fire and EMS released a statement on Thursday and expressed their deepest condolences by saying:
