FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – Some patches of fog are possible during your morning drive, especially in low-lying areas. This is not expected to last for long, sometime between 7-8 am we should see this mix out.
It’s a hot & humid day! Temperatures today will soar just shy of 90 across the region. Skies will stay sunny with a very high UV Index (9) where the burn time is as quick as 15-20 minutes. A few isolated pop-up showers are possible in the late afternoon due to the heat and mugginess.
Heat & humidity will pick up for the weekend, making any outdoor plans uncomfortable at times. Tropical humidity throughout the weekend will help push the heat index on Saturday into the upper 90s. If you’re planning on going to the Fort Wayne Air Show or any other events, make sure to stay hydrated and take breaks as needed. Pop-up storms will develop in the late afternoon and evening on Saturday, and more scattered storms are expected at times on Sunday…
