CRANSTON, R.I. (WPRI) — Funeral arrangements have been announced for former Rhode Island Gov. Ed DiPrete.
DiPrete died at his Cranston home Tuesday while celebrating his 91st birthday with his family. He served as governor from 1985 until 1991 and as mayor of Cranston for seven years before that.

Visiting hours for DiPrete will be held from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday at Nardolillo Funeral Home in Cranston. His funeral will then be held there at 9 a.m. Monday, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Holy Apostle Church at 10 a.m.
