Scattered storms with locally heavy rainfall, gusty winds, and frequent lightning possible through Monday. Not everyone will have a storm, but they will become quite numerous with a frontal boundary approaching Arkansas. Western, northern, and central Arkansas will be more favored for these storms. A ridge of high pressure builds into the region next week. This should decrease storm chances and increase the temperature. Heat index readings may reach and exceed 105 degrees.
