DENVER (KDVR) – The 17th Judicial District Attorney’s Office has charged a man with first-degree murder in 2 deadly stabbings that occurred within a half mile of each other in Aurora.
The filing of the charges comes after the Aurora Police Department obtained an arrest warrant for Ricky Roybal-Smith, 38, as the alleged suspect in the connected June 29 fatal stabbings. He was in custody for unrelated charges in Denver.

In the arrest affidavit obtained by FOX31, it states that the first stabbing was reported around 1:45 a.m. on June 29, when officers responded to a report on the 1500 block of Moline Street and found a man suffering from apparent stab wounds.
