Salem cyclist killed in crash with driver accused of DUII

PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) – A cyclist is dead after a crash involving a driver who was allegedly under the influence in Salem on Thursday, according to law enforcement.

Marion County deputies responded to the area of 2000 Delaney Road SE around 7:20 p.m. and found the bike rider, 46-year-old Jeremy Wanak, critically injured. He was taken to the hospital, but eventually died of his injuries.
