Portland women sue city after police ram wrong car

Two Portland women are suing the city and police, alleging officers mistook their car for one driven by a reckless driver who refused to pull over, followed them for over 10 miles and then rammed into their car without notice and pointed guns at them.

Colleen McDonald and Hilary Rossio were stunned as two Portland police cars hit their Ford Fusion and officers yelled expletives as they drew their guns and ordered the women to raise their hands, according to the suit filed Thursday in federal court in Portland.

The women, the suit said, did as they were told while screaming, “What’s going on?” and “You have the wrong people!”…
