Chattanooga man charged after autistic son found running in traffic

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — A Chattanooga man is facing felony child neglect charges after his non-verbal, autistic son was found naked and running in traffic near the McDonald’s on Highway 58.

According to an affidavit, Derek Seretean was working in the attic of his home, when he noticed his son was missing from the yard. The child was missing for 20 minutes before Seretean called police.

Customers inside the McDonald’s reportedly corralled the child from the busy highway, quickly clothing him…
