First Alert Weather Day: Hot & humid trend with some storms

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – A First Alert Weather Day has been issued for Saturday due to the heat, tropical humidity, and scattered storms that could delay or cancel some outdoor events.

Highs make it into the low 90s for both today and tomorrow. A few isolated sprinkles are possible early Friday morning, but the majority of the day is expected to be partly cloudy.

The humidity picks up more into the start of the weekend. Humidity will reach tropical levels, making it feel uncomfortable for spending long periods of time outside. The heat index could reach as high as 100° in some spots on Saturday…
