LANSING, Mich. (WLNS) — A muggy start to our weekend is in the forecast with showers and storms moving in this afternoon ahead of a cold front. Cooler and seasonable conditions continue for Sunday.
You might have noticed that this morning was hazy and humid, with a layer of dew on your car or even just some haze. Temperatures were in the low to mid 70s with dew points in the upper 60s to low 70s areawide this morning with a little bit of sunshine. We will gradually see clouds increase ahead of the cold front that will bring showers and storms back to the area.
Pop-up showers and storms are possible this afternoon mainly to the east of US-131, timing of this is between the 2 pm to 10 pm timeframe but should wrap up as the sun goes down. The main threats of this system looks to be gusty winds, heavy rain and small hail. Winds could gust upwards of 40-60 mph.
