Sacramento man pleads guilty to shooting at Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives agents

SACRAMENTO, Calif. – A Sacramento man pleaded guilty Thursday to multiple charges, including assaulting federal officers and possessing methamphetamine with intent to distribute, according to the United States Department of Justice.

38-year-old Jason Broadbent of Sacramento faced charges after an incident on Nov. 19, 2015, when federal agents served a search warrant at his girlfriend’s residence.

The Department of Justice says that agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives knocked at the door of the residence. After no one answered the door, the agents forced entry into the residence and entered the living room, shouting “Police” and “Search Warrant”…
