Sedgwick County detective charged with falsifying information

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — A months-long investigation into a Sedgwick County detective has led to criminal charges.

Detective Shawn McMahon has been charged with two counts of making false information and one count of interference with law enforcement. These are felony charges. According to court documents, the charges stem from incidents that occurred on Nov. 18 and 22, 2024.
