MERIDIAN, Idaho (CBS2) — If you’re looking for a seed oil free restaurant to enjoy breakfast, brunch, or lunch, Tipsy Chef Café has got you covered! The small eatery in Meridian opened about three years ago after Julie Berger and her husband, Travis Berger, decided to take the leap to start their own small business.
“We opened up the restaurant on February first and got married on the 22nd,” said Tipsy Chef Café co-owner Travis Berger. “What we like to do is local meats, local eggs, all of our microgreens come from a local vendor. We do as much as we can in house. Everything is made fresh, that’s what we are passionate about.”
The husband and wife duo have an extensive background in food, with Julie spending several years as a chef in Beverly Hills and eight years as a chef in France. She says when they moved to Meridian, they began immersing themselves in the local food scene and cooking for a nearby hospital…
