Reno Invites Locals to Monthly ‘House Party Plays the Tracks’ Events with Live Music, Art, and Food Trucks

Get ready to dance, Reno! A new series of monthly events called “House Party Plays the Tracks” is coming to Locomotion Plaza. On July 19, August 16, and September 20, the City of Reno welcomes everybody to join in on these electrifying evenings. Packed with live music, art, and interactive activities, these events promise to be the cultural hub this summer.

This street-side spectacle offers a free experience for all, stretching from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. each event day. According to a recent announcement from the City of Reno, visitors can expect to witness everything from interactive art exhibitions to fire dancing performances. Plus, a spread of food trucks will be available to cater to every taste. And for the night owls, an official after-party at Dead Ringer Analog Bar with a cover charge will keep the vibe alive until the early hours of 4 a.m.—but only for those 21 and over.

Vice Mayor Kathleen Taylor extends a special invitation to local residents. In a statement obtained by the City of Reno, Taylor said, “We hope everyone will come enjoy the energy downtown, but we specially want to invite Reno locals to rediscover what’s right in their backyard.”…
