Two additional gang members sentenced in 10-year-old’s shooting death

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — Two additional gang members of the “Wellington Park Crew” were sentenced Friday in the 2018 shooting death of 10-year-old Makiyah Wilson, according to the United States Attorney’s Office (USAO) for the District of Columbia.

Mark Price, 30, and Antonio Murchison, 31, were both found guilty in September of first-degree murder while armed, conspiracy to commit a crime of violence, participation in a criminal street gang, obstruction of justice, and multiple counts of assault with intent to kill while armed and related firearms offenses.

Price was sentenced to 50 years in prison, and Murchison received 72 years.

According to court documents, on July 16, 2018, five men drove to the Clay Terrace neighborhood armed with guns, and some began shooting into the Clay Terrace courtyard, firing over 50 rounds. One of the bullets fatally struck the 10-year-oldas she was sitting on the front stoop of her home, and the gunfire wounded several others…
