The Lincoln Park Pool, which has been under construction since early 2024, celebrated its ribbon cutting on July 3 and officially opened to the public on July 5. The facility then closed this past Thursday and Friday for a reported equipment installation.
The new pool is open only to city of Albany residents on a first-come, first-serve basis. Its amenities include a 10,000-square-foot zero-entry pool with in-water spray features, a 10-lane half-size Olympic lap pool, a splash pad and water slides.
There are also several additional splash pads throughout the city, such as at the Black Lives Matter Park, the Colonie Street Park and more. You can find other pools, splash pads and spray parks throughout the Capital Region on the NEWS10 website…
