Maryland Dept. of Juvenile Services announces changes to electronic monitoring policy

MARYLAND (WBFF) — The Maryland Department of Juvenile Services (DJS) announced changes to the agency’s electronic monitoring policies on Friday.

The policy changes, which went into effect on July 3, are the following:

1. All youth on electronic monitoring who have been requested by law enforcement for detention and are charged with a new detention-eligible defense will now be held in detention until their next court hearing…
