JEFFERSON COUNTY, Ala. (WBMA) — The Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) announced that beginning at 12 a.m. on Sunday, July 21, 2025, weather permitting, the southbound ramps at Chalkville Mountain Road, exit 141, will be closed.
This closure is part of the ongoing construction project on I-59, stretching from the I-459 interchange in Birmingham to Chalkville Mountain Road in Trussville.
During this phase of construction, motorists will be unable to enter I-59 southbound from Chalkville Mountain Road.
