Collier County just got its report card, and it’s soaring with an “A.” The district earned an “A” grade from the Florida Department of Education for the 2024-25 school year, securing its position as a top-performing district in Southwest Florida.
The 2025 school grade, which the state released July 7, shows Collier County Public Schools (CCPS) climbed to sixth place statewide, up from seventh last year out of 67 districts. This makes CCPS the only district in Southwest Florida to earn an “A” rating and places Collier County among the other top 28 districts that received an “A” in Florida.
CCPS Superintendent Leslie Ricciardelli praised the district’s collective effort. “Our theme for the 2024–25 school year was ‘Building on Success,’ and I could not be prouder of the incredible accomplishments of our students, teachers, school administrators, and District staff,” she wrote in a statement. “These outstanding school and district grades are a powerful reflection of our shared commitment to excellence. This success belongs to all of us, and we can celebrate it with pride.”…
