At the Devore Animal Shelter in San Bernardino, California, every morning Luna wakes up hoping this will be the day she is adopted and gets to go home with her new family.
Luna is just a year old; she’s young, beautiful and full of life. When she first arrived at the shelter, she had been suffering from an upper respiratory infection, but in spite of not feeling so hot, she still greeted everyone with a happy tail wag and that optimistic look of “soon my prince will come.”

It has been nearly a month that Luna has been at the shelter, and her time is quickly running out…
