Syracuse, N.Y. — More than 5,000 people packed the Inner Harbor Friday night for the second annual Pizza & Wings Festival, Pasta Too, but there was plenty of space for families, infants in strollers and even a few pups to move around.
Syracuse takes its pizza seriously, so the enthusiasm for a slice-centric event isn’t surprising. We also take wings seriously and the two are a famously complementary pair.
Pizza shops like Peppino’s, Via Napoli, Original Italian Pizza, It’s a Utica Thing and Wolf’s Patio Pizza (which has a gluten-free crust option) offered piping hot slices and pies. Nicole Mulvihill, working the Peppino’s stand, said they made at least 75 pizzas over the six hours…
