BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — Authorities are searching for a missing woman last seen under suspicious circumstances in East Feliciana Parish.
Mary M. “Peggy” Wilson, 71, was reported missing on Friday, July 11, after not being seen since July 5. Wilson, who lives on Billy Goat Road in Wilson, is known to have serious medical issues, which EFPSO said may or may not have contributed to her disappearance.
In a statement, Sheriff Jeff Travis said multiple agencies are involved in the search effort, including the East Feliciana Parish Sheriff’s Office, Louisiana State Police Aviation Unit, Department of Corrections, Louisiana Search and Rescue K9 teams, Acadian Ambulance and volunteers.
Detectives are exploring all possibilities surrounding Wilson’s disappearance and working to retrace her movements. They are going door-to-door in the Billy Goat Road and Carruth Road areas…
