Crews battle fire at DC duplex, no injuries reported

WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — Thick black smoke could be seen billowing in Southeast D.C. early Friday morning after a duplex caught fire.

The DC Fire and EMS Department said crews were dispatched to a box alarm around 4 a.m. on July 11, in the 3300 block of Loud Place.

Fire breaks out at OneLife Fitness in Montgomery County

Once on the scene, firefighters found flames coming from the first floor of a two-story duplex.

The DCFD requested an additional truck and air unit to help battle the blaze.
