Traffic shift starts Monday on K-15 in Derby

DERBY, Kan. (KSNW) — Traffic on K-15 in Derby will shift starting Monday for a road project at the K-15 and Nelson Drive intersection, according to the Kansas Department of Transportation.

Crews will first close the inside lanes to build temporary crossovers. By Wednesday, northbound K-15 will close, and traffic will run in both directions on the southbound side. That setup will stay in place for about three months, weather permitting, KDOT said.

The project will realign Nelson Drive, add a new east-west road, and install a traffic signal at K-15. Construction is expected to finish in December, with traffic reopening by early November.
