It’s a warm start to Sunday with temps in the mid to upper 70s and a few clouds. There are a few areas of fog, but it’s too bad this morning. It’s going to be a hot one today with afternoon highs in the mid to upper 90s and heat index values in the low 100s. Today will be a bit of a preview of the next several days.
THIS WEEK:It’s got to be a HOT start with upper 90s for highs Monday and Tuesday and heat index values close to 105°! There could be a stray shower, but most of your will stay dry Monday and Tuesday. Even though our highs will come down slightly, Wednesday will still be pretty warm with highs in the mid 90s, but heat index values again will be in the low 100s. An isolated afternoon storm will be possible. Thursday and Friday, we’ll see our highs come down further as we see increased cloudiness and scattered afternoon showers and storms thanks to an area of low pressure expected to develop in the northern Gulf (more on that in the Tropics below). Not everybody may see rain, but at least the chances of getting something are higher than usual.
WEEKEND:For the upcoming weekend, afternoon highs will be in the low 90s under partly cloudy skies with an isolated shower or storm possible both days…
