1 in custody after shooting left 2 injured in Chick-fil-A drive-thru near Manchester Expressway

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WRBL) — The Columbus Police Department is investigating a shooting that left two people injured on Saturday.

The police department posted a message on X (Twitter) Saturday afternoon, alerting that two people were injured following a shooting that took place in the 2700 block of Manchester Expressway, near a Chick-fil-A restaurant.

Police provided WRBL News 3 with an update and said that the shooting was accidental and happened at the Chick-fil-A drive-thru, where a woman and child was injured.

Columbus PD says Adrian Wisdom, who is reportedly the child’s father, was taken into custody and charged with reckless conduct, second-degree child cruelty, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime.

Wisdom is scheduled for his first court appearance on Monday at 1:30 p.m…
