Bellarmine University awarded prestigious $250,000 grant for its character education

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) — Bellarmine University was one of three universities nationwide to receive a $250,000 grant honoring it for its education in character and leadership.

Bellarmine said in a news release Friday it received the 2025 Educating Character Initiative Institutional Impact Grant from Wake Forest University. The university off Newburg Road in Louisville will use the three-year grant to launch a new program geared toward empathy, humility and openness to differences.
