Today may turn out to be a much cooler day with a mostly cloudy sky and light north winds of 5 to 15 mph. Afternoon temperatures will respond, holding steady in the pleasant 70’s and 80’s. Amarillo should top out near 80. Also, widely scattered showers and thunderstorms look to continue across the area. Severe weather conditions should stay limited to pockets of small hail and wind gusts up to 70 mph. Tomorrow and Monday should experience similar weather with pockets of rain and embedded thunder along with highs in the 80’s. Tuesday could reach back into the low 90’s.
Circling back to showers and storms, be aware of possible flooding issues where the ground is saturated from previous rain…
