Texas Tech University System Chancellor Dr. Tedd Mitchell to Retire

The Texas Tech University System will soon be looking for a new Chancellor. After 7 years as Chancellor to the Texas Tech University System, Dr. Tedd L. Mitchell has announced he plans to retire within the year.

Texas Tech first announced the retirement with a message from the Chancellor and a post on X.

Dr. Tedd Mitchell was named the fifth Chancellor of the Texas Tech University System on October 25, 2018. He has been part of the Texas Tech University System for 15 years and in a letter posted online Mitchell said he believes it is time to pass the leadership baton forward
