Mother of Birmingham firefighter killed 2 years ago writes book to help other grieving families

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (WBRC) – This weekend marks two years since Birmingham Firefighter Jordan Melton was tragically shot at a fire station in the Norwood neighborhood, and on this somber anniversary his family is turning their pain into purpose.

An oasis of orange filled the room at Alcove Birmingham on Sunday. It is not only the color for gun violence awareness, but so much more.
