The heat and humidity will hang on through the day Sunday across the Buffalo-Niagara region, but change will be in the forecast as the weekend winds down.
A cold front will approach the area Sunday and, in the process, will generate widespread showers and thunderstorms, some of which could produce strong gusty winds and locally heavy rainfall.
