South Port Square unites for Alzheimer’s Awareness

PORT CHARLOTTE — South Port Square, a senior living community in Port Charlotte, came together during Alzheimer’s Awareness Month, raising more than $2,100 through a series of creative, community-driven events, according to a news release.

Under the theme “Let’s Beat Alzheimer’s,” residents and team members collaborated throughout the month to host a variety of fundraisers, each designed to inspire awareness, connection, and generosity in support of Alzheimer’s initiatives.

“This campaign was truly a labor of love,” South Port Square Executive Director Brian Hess stated in the news release. “Every flowerpot painted, every purple outfit worn, and every event held was a meaningful step toward supporting those impacted by Alzheimer’s disease. We’re incredibly proud of what our community accomplished together.”…
