Woman fired from law firm faces eviction and fraud charge

A woman fired from a law firm has faced eviction and fraud charge since being being terminated from her position.

Heather Perrone, 54, was arrested earlier this month on a warrant charging her with fraud.

Perrone had previously worked for the Premier Law Group in Wildwood and stole a check and money orders from the firm when she was employed there, according to a warrant arrest affidavit from the Wildwood Police Department. After she was terminated, Perrone attempted to deposit a fraudulent check from the firm at Truist Bank. She also tried to cash the money orders.

In May, she rented an apartment at the Lake Sumter Apartments on County Road 466. In June, she wrote a check for the monthly rent of $1,665, but the check was returned due to insufficient funds in her account.
