The City of Sacramento is on a mission to energize OSW and they’re inviting public participation through a brief survey aimed at capturing the essence of what presently draws crowds to this historic locale—be it family entertainment, significant landmarks, cultural happenings, dining escapades, among other attractions. Feedback from this questionnaire, as reported by Sacramento City Express, is crucial in shaping a media and marketing campaign to amplify visitation and uplift local commerce.
Valerie Mamone, a development project manager for Sacramento’s Office of Innovation & Economic Development, underscored the waterfront’s symbolic value to Sacramento’s tourism industry, expressing the campaign’s alignment with the area’s significance, wanting their communications and community outreach to reveal and resonate with the public’s affections for the quarter. “This campaign is focused on supporting Old Sacramento’s success as one of the city’s most important tourism areas,” Mamone told Sacramento City Express, “We want to ensure our messaging and outreach reflects what people value most about the area.” With the intention of fostering a lively, charming destination, city officials hope to harness this input to tailor promotional efforts, mold media acquisitions, and stir up activities that engage the right audience segments.
