VENICE — Building officials for the city of Venice and Sarasota County had an important message for those attending the Venice Area Chamber of Commerce’s recent City, County Coffee program: Ask permission, not forgiveness.
“It makes life very difficult” to ask for forgiveness rather than permission, especially for businesses, Sarasota County Building Official Michael Deming said. “Problems have a tendency to snowball.”
